Genya Ogasawara and Miya Kagayama 1
Shosai's son Genya probably came to know Jesus Christ naturally through
the living example of Gracia Hosokawa and his personal contact with her
unshakeable faith. In fact, among Shosai's three sons, Nagara and
Genya became Christians. While Nagara abandoned his faith because of the
severe Christian persecution, Genya remained faithful to the end. He was
a devout Christian who died a splendid martyr's death along with his wife
Kagayama Miya and his children. We will now follow in the footsteps
of Genya Ogasawara, Miya Kagayama, and their family.
