Genya Ogasawara and Miya Kagayama 2

Though times had been hard since Francis Xavier started missionary work in Japan in 1549, in Kagayama family, at first Hayato Kagayamafs parents converted to Christianity and their faith was passed down to Hayato, his son, then Miya, his daughter, and then Miyafs child, and a living faith spanned four generations. Hayatofs life of faith, which was not threatened even by death, no doubt had a strong influence on his daughter and her child.

At the same time Miyafs husband Genya was touched by the spirit of the faith of his father-in-law Hayato Kagayama and Miya. He also was fired with Christian zeal. They gave a great impact for him to choose a life of faith for himself.
