Footprints of Yukinaga Konishi

1. Personal History and Encounter with Christ (B)

Why was Yukinaga, who was a merchant, not only intellect but also good at battle? It was because merchants then had to purchase goods by themselves and from pirates, bandits and so on. So they organize self-defense groups and command them. Under any circumstances, God was always with Yukinaga and prospered him.

If his superiority was compared to the person in the Bible, it seems to be like that of Joseph who appears in Genesis Chapter 37. Although Joseph was in Israel, he was sold to Egypt as a slave. However, since the Lord was with Joseph, he was successful in all he did, and the master who saw it made Joseph to be a close advise and had him to manage the house and entrusted the whole property in his hand, though he was a slave.
It is written in the Bible that the master did not concern himself with anything except the food he ate. (Joseph became the minister of Egypt.)

Yukinaga made a negotiation with Hideyoshi successfuly as a messenger of Ukita Naoie. Because of this achievement he was hired as a warrior of Ukita.
