Yes! The Kyoto retreat was held at Prayer House
of the Water Brooks in Keihoku-cho in the north of Kyoto.
The sun shone into the chapel
while we sang hymns of praise and joy.
And each one of us worshipped God in our own way.
We gave thanks to God for the sunshine.
When we are in Prayer House of the Water Brooks,
which was fulfillment of the Lord's prophecy,
it is as if time stands still.
Everyone is at peace in the presence of God.
Sister E, who was saved through the Gospel lesson,
is one of the people who had waited eagerly to attend the retreat.
When we heard that she had set off, saying to her family,
"I am going to the Prayer House to refresh my spirit."
I, Keihoku Kyoko and all the church members were filled with joy.
God is wonderful!!
Hallelujah! Hallelujah!
We planted a lot of trees.
One of the sisters said, "It is like an orchard!"
One of the brothers said,
"I'm looking forward to seeing the trees grow bigger."
"He shall be like a tree
Planted by the rivers of water,
That brings forth its fruit in its season,
Whose leaf also shall not wither;
And whatever he does shall prosper." (Psalm 1:3)
We thank God because God will make us grow
as the church filled with the life of Christ.
The Gospel Feast, where all of us
from babies to 80-year-old grandmothers eat together is wonderful.
When we heard the Lord's prophecy that
"original hymns will be composed for our church"
(this was told ten years ago),we were incredulous.
But now that the Lord's words have come true,
we have recorded the songs and uploaded onto our website.
We bring them to you live.
There are two months of this year remaining.
Onward with the joy of God.
